Great information in the book

Great information in the book. It lines up the order and information of the questions almost exactly as the Bombardier CRJ 200 systems manual orders its information. I like this book better than the manual though for quick recap and study. I don't think it would be an effective stand alone study aid though for people new to the aircraft. Because everything is is question and answer format, it would most likely cause the person studying to commit it to rote memory only. Using this after reading the systems manual and understanding it is a very effective tool for touching up systems knowledge you haven't used in a while, or when your next recurrent training is coming up.

This Study Guide is very comprehensive. This is very good for studying for the Oral exam. the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that it lacks systems diagrams.

Like others I was very confused by how little content ...

Like others I was very confused by how little content there is. I thought that maybe I had only downloaded a sample to my iPad only to realize this was the entire book. I liked the exercises, and I liked where it was going, I was just really confused by how the book seemed to just stop.

I would gladly pay more for this book and give it a 4 or 5 star review if it had most substance.

Where Is the Content?

I am confused and feel ripped off. I bought the Kindle edition. Although Amazon says the print edition is 68 pages long, the Kindle edition was 44 tiny pages long (almost a quarter of which was the introduction), and most pages had only one sentence, or one simple picture and, and, that was it! That was the whole book? Okay, it only cost $5, but the write-up did not prepare me for receiving such a tiny amount of content in return. Either the print edition is nothing like the Kindle edition (If it is, then it would be piracy to charge the $30+ for such pitiful content), or this is a deliberate scam. Disappointed, Amazon. Very.

Essential in your toolset... if you are among my breed

After devouring this book in one sitting, I feel annoyed to have to distill my feelings about it into words, because I can't sketch my review here visually! I have the paperback and conclude it is a SUPERB posession. Why the long thought? Because when you get this book in the box and see how sweetly concise it is, you might at first understand why other readers wonder if it was worth supporting the author with $30 compared to magnum opuses that are stuffed with material. It is, because you can't compare them apples to apples. A lot of how to books are almost like information overload of which you'll only use or remember 10% of. This book should be compared to the thousands charged in design thinking training courses, and, Jose is getting that from companies yet giving you the core of it all in here. If you think different, if you're an innovator, a doer more than a dreamer, you'll understand the indirect value in Sketch Thinking. It's fresh content, delivered in a fresh approach to printed content that walks its own talk of simplicity RULES and so 2016... a fast chunk of golden bite sized learning geared for our ADHD generation. Just like a good design or creative ideation Tool should, it gets your Tuition out of the way quickly so your Intuition can kick in. It leaves you inspired to jump instantly into rapid prototyping and testing the manner it gives you for interacting with others. So... I got a whole lot more retention through practice prompted by a few very key words and drawings. Because it's concise but graphical, I remembered all its basics when I was on the spot today in a meeting with a CEO convincing them about a strategic concept... and using its hero --Starman-- and granma (I LOVE granma!!.. can't get her face out of my head!!) all wowed like I was a visual facilitation guru (I'm not!), which is what made me sit down and write this elaborate glowing review. It's easy to jump back to later. It's a marvelous gift onwards. Also because it's so short yet gripping, if you leave it on your desk like a coffee table book everybody picks it up and steals it, and finishes it, then it starts amazing conversations with them and generates a culture of sketch thinking with your collaborators, which is priceless. That's quite a return on an investment I throw easily over lunch. So for me, and busy people like me, this book is a solid 5/5.

About the Author
While attending college at Nihon University, in 1988, Miura debuted a 48-page manga known as Berserk Prototype, an introduction to the current Berserk fantasy world. It went on to win Miura a prize from the Comi Manga School. In 1989, after receiving a doctorate degree, Kentarou started a project titled King of Wolves based on a script by Buronson, writer of Hokuto no Ken (Fist Of The North Star).
In 1990, the first volume Berserk was released with a relatively limited success. Miura again collaborated with Buronson on manga entitled Japan. Miura's fame grew after Berserk began "The Golden Age" story arc and the huge success of this masterpiece made of him one of the most prominent contemporary manga artists.
In 1997, Miura supervised the production of 25 anime episodes of Berserk that aired in the same year on NTV.
The series has also spawned a whole host of merchandise, both official and fan-made, ranging from statues, action figures to key rings, video games, and a trading card game. In 2002, Kentaro Miura received the second place in the Tezuka Osamu (Astro Boy) Cultural Prize of Excellence for Berserk. The author lives in Tokyo, Japan.

A Short Epic With Fantastic Characters

The art for this book is, as always from Kentaro Miura, stunning, and the story is fantastic. It's shorter than I would want, but still a wonderful story, and while it isn't the same as Berserk in tone, Miura's characters still feel fully formed, just like they do in Berserk. That's probably the best thing I can say about this book: Miura can (seemingly effortlessly) make characters deep and fully formed in no time flat, and it instantly creates a book you want to read to completion multiple times.

Despite its sluggish pace, implausible dialogue, and excessively ornate style, it is a suspenseful story of despair, with powerful images of fire, ice, and hunting. The Beast in the Jungle concerns John Marcher, a neurotic egoist obsessed with the lurking feeling that something incredible is to happen to him. This impending fate has a predatory quality, like "a crouching beast in the jungle." Consumed with anticipation and dread, Marcher is unable to reciprocate the love of his long-suffering companion, May Bartram. She comes to see his fate but is unable to make him understand it before she dies. An engrossing tale

Henry James' Beast in the Jungle is surely not for everyone, there is little action in the novella (I suppose that is the point actually) and the title could give readers the wrong idea. John Marcher, the protagonist, is re-aquainted with May Bartram, a woman he knew ten years earlier, who remembers his odd secret- Marcher is seized with the belief that his life is to be defined by some catastrophic or spectacular event, lying in wait for him like a "beast in the jungle."
May decides to take a flat nearby in London, and to spend her days with Marcher curiously awaiting what fate has in stall for John. Of course Marcher is a self-centered egoist, believing that he is precluded from marrying so that he does not subject his wife to his "spectacular fate". So he takes May to the theatre and invites her to an occasional dinner, while not allowing her to really get close to him for her own sake. As he sits idly by and allows the best years of his life to pass, he takes May down as well, until the denouement wherein he learns that the great misfortune of his life was to throw it away, and to ignore the love of a good woman, based upon his preposterous sense of foreboding.
James' language can be a bit stilted at times, and some of the dialogue may strike modern readers as out-dated. However James was a master of the novella format, and with The Beast in the Jungle he has written an engrossing psychological drama, which left me speechless at the very end. Pick up a collection that also includes The Turn of the Screw and Daisy Miller if you haven't already read them, they are accessible (more so than some of James' full length novels) and great examples of the format's potential.

A glimpse into the soul

Henry James has always been one of my favorite writers even though many readers are put off by his very stylized writing. When I first read "The Beast in the Jungle", I must admit that I was completely blown away by its powerful message. This is a type of mystery that never loses its power although you already know the ending. There is no way to describe certain moments in the story that give us a glimpse into the very soul of these characters that manage to become real to us throughout this story. Marcher's incredible egotism blinds him from seeing the truth in his life and thereby destroying not only his own life, but also destroying the life of the woman who could have helped him learn how to live before it was too late. Henry James was a master writer and to quote the words of T.S. Eliot: "Henry James is a difficult writer for English readers because he is American, difficult for Americans because he is European, and I ignore if he is possible for other readers." Yes, Henry James can be a challenge for many readers, but the reward is all worth the effort.

This Beast Stalks You

The story that lurks in this ornate writing from another, more embellished time will seize you with its power. And this story is not for the weak minded or those whose spirits shatter at the slightest confrontation. You, like John Marcher, will have the uncomfortable feeling that something Terrible, & Permanent is going to happen to you from reading this story. And you're right, but you don't know how right. The fate is something far worse than you think. Don't find yourself in a graveyard weeping over your May. You've been warned. This story is not dead paper and ink, or electrons over the internet. It waits for You to Enter The Jungle. And it is far better for some not to enter this Jungle, and be awakened to the Beast that even now watches you and prepares to leap.
