Geoffrey Akst and Sadie Bragg have worked together for many years as professors of mathematics at Borough of Manhattan Community College/City University of New York.� They met as graduate students at Teachers College, Columbia University, where they were both working on degrees in the teaching of college mathematics. Apparently my teacher is using the online"summit your homework" thing. I didn't get a set up your account thing with this book. I might have to pay for that separately? It might make it more expensive if you do(I'm guessing) so make sure before you buy this book that your professor is not using the "online summit your work option".

Just another Algebra book. As a math teacher I have read and used many. This book does not stand out. It is a poor choice for a school to choose as there are so many better Algebra book choices in circulation. Keep looking as this book is weak and lacks real substance, Not enough coverage of the topic and not complete or appropriate solutions for the student to get a complete idea on how to solve basic problems. I purchased this product with my own funds and have not received any discount in exchange for my honest review.
