Wendy Griffith is an anchor and senior reporter for the Christian Broadcasting Network and cohost of CBN’s flagship show, The 700 Club, with CBN founder Dr. Pat Robertson. She also co-anchors two other shows for CBN: Christian World News, a weekly show that focuses on the challenges facing the global church, and CBN Newswatch, a daily 30-minute newscast seen on networks throughout the country and on cbn.com. Wendy is the coauthor, with Craig Buseck, of Praying the News.

Insightful

When I got Wendy's book and started reading the few first pages, I texted my girlfriend the title and she immediately got a copy and devoured it in just two days. Later in that same week I happen to find myself in the waiting room of a car repair shop and noticed a very young woman across from me and she wasn't wearing a ring. I felt the leading of the Holy Spirit and asked her if she was married, and she said no. So I asked her to get out a piece of paper and write the name of this book and asked her to get it. This is so out of the ordinary for me, normally I don't witness like this. But I feel that this is a very timely and needed book for our generation and if we who have been "heartbroken" and have failed in past relationships can help the next generation value themselves and not settle this is the book that does that. I can't wait for Wendy's next book, the story of when her Boaz comes up and sweeps her off her feet.

From a man's viewpoint...

Well-written and easy to read, this book is written mainly for Christian women. Wendy wants to encourage women that they are valuable to God and a prize to be won, therefore they should see themselves accordingly and never settle for a man who sees them as less.
As a man reading this book for reference purposes, I didn't expect to get much out of it for me personally, especially given that I have been on the unbelieving side of things the past decade. The examples of God speaking and moving in her life supernaturally reminded me of a time I once had similar experiences, and this always helps me revisit those times and try to see God at work in my life. Given there was a time I believed God had once spoken to be about marrying a woman, and like the pearl of great price, sold everything I owned to buy the ring and propose to her (she said no), I wondered if in fact I was worthy to be called to pursue my prize these days.
I used Wendy as a model of a strong, beautiful Christian woman any man should be happy to pursue, a woman who is valued by God and is himself finding a husband for her. I asked myself hypothetically, what if that man was me? How would I respond? How was my walk with God? What did my life look like? Did I feel that life was ready for God to speak to me to pursue a godly woman like Wendy? If not, how far was I and what would I need to do to prepare? These were difficult questions for me as it showed me the gap between how I saw myself and how far I was from feeling confident of being in a place where God could speak to me about pursuing someone.
What was also eye-opening for me after reading dozens of Christian dating books is that there are many different people in the world with many different gifts, callings, personalities, situations, and desires, and that God is infinitely creative in how he brings potential spouses together. There seems to me to be no perfect formula or test for knowing how God will bring people together, when, or why.
I look forward to the day Wendy has a ring on her finger, and when she does, maybe she can write another book telling us how God finally brought her and her husband together.

You'll Never Forgive Yourself if You Don't Read This Book!

Multi-published author, Wendy Griffith, invites the reader to join her on a highly personal journey as she discovers the value of her own worth. Seen through her eyes, coupled with God's valuation of her life, one finds themselves stumbling along then righting themselves in concert with her numerous epiphanies. I found myself feeling her pain, hoping she'd reach for the right door, and stunned by the selfish indifference from the one entrusted with her heart.
Cover to cover the reader engages in varied levels of empathy; holding our breath until she is safely delivered by her Good Shepherd's capable arm. As the author musters the courage to enter the valley of decision, we cannot help but cheer; watching her draw a deep line in the sand and refusing further mistreatment. Her pain in leaving an immature suitor, becomes her bridge to unexpected opportunities and a solid platform for ministry.
For any woman questioning why they are drawn to emotionally unavailable and indecisive men, this book becomes the road map to healthy destinations and mindsets. I applaud Miss Griffith's determination to dust herself off, dry her tears, and sound the alarm for other women in similar predicaments. Her self-described "test" becomes literary medicine to those terminally love sick and points them in the direction of a gentle God waiting to comfort the brokenhearted. Griffith's discovery is the flashing yellow light that warns of unseen dangers--offering a practical yet heartfelt exit strategy for those seeking true contentment in their relationships. I highly endorse this labor of love and pivotal manuscript.
